Additional Information:ROCK FACED CONCRETE BLOCK PORCHMANY ALTERATIONS [Date Cnst:-1897 source: Ron Larson] 2016- "Probably built in the mid 1890's by either Sjur Johnson, Freeman Eighmy or Peter Kurtz, all owners of this property during the late 19th century. In 1899, Dr. William MacLachlan was living here and operating his doctor's office out of his home. McLachlan had the left portion of the house added in order to expand his office space. Arnold and Ruby Larson became owners in 1944. Ruby lived here until 2009, a year before her death in 2010 at age 96. Ruby served as president of the McFarland Historical Society for many years and was active in the community. The house was later purchased by Dale Beck." -"Historic McFarland: A Walking Tour" booklet, Third printing, published by the McFarland Historical Society, (March 2016). 2021 - Siding and windows have been replaced, additions have altered form and massing.
