NOTES
Additional Information:WIDE OVERHANGING EAVESDORIC ENTRANCE PORCH W/ TRIGLYPHED EAVESDOOR W/ SIDELIGHTSTHE BLDG HAS RECENTLY BECOME A PRIVATE ALPINE SKISCHOOL [Date Cnst:-1914] "For Montreal miners, few buildings were more important than this one -- after all, the place where your paycheck comes from is always something special. The 1913-1914 building, which at first glance appears to be simply a larger house, was the Montreal Mine's Company Office, where nearly all clerical work relating to the mine, including the payment of salaries, was done. With over 600 employees, on average, between the Depressions and the mine's close, and yearly ore shipments of over one million tons in most years, the structure was in many ways the nerve center of a large organization."
