Additional Information: | ALTERED [Date Cnst:-1916] 2009- "Kriwanek's Ford Garage was constructed in 1915 to serve as the first automotive dealership in Denmark. The one-story Twentieth Century Commercial building has a flat roof with parapet and is clad in cream brick. The fagade is composed of three wide bays flanked by a narrow bay on either end. At street level, the three wide bays have been filled with modern vinyl casement windows, a modern steel door, and aluminum siding. The first story is capped with a large pent roof covered in rough shakes. Decorative brick raised panels are present in the parapet. A large overhead garage door is present on the west elevation, as are several segmental-arched windows which have been filled with glass block. A sign reading "DENMARK MUNICIPAL GARAGE" is affixed to the parapet." -"CTH KB: CTH R to Prospect St", WisDOT#4538-04-71, Prepared by Justin Miller, (2009). |
