Additional Information: | 2012- This previously surveyed, two-story-tall, rectilinear plan commercial building has a main fayade that faces north onto Belknap St. This building was built in 1923, according to historic City of Superior Assessor's records, and it was designed in the Twentieth Century Commercial Style. This building occupies a comer parcel that was created by the intersection ofthe north-south-running Baxter Ave. and the east-west-running Belknap St. and this gives it two principal elevations, the main one of which faces north onto Belknap St., while the other faces west onto Baxter Ave. The building is clad in brown brick and a survey photo taken in 1983 shows that the building then still retained its original four-over-one-light double hung wood sash second story windows and its original first story storefronts. The building as it exists today, however, has had its original storefronts removed and replaced with modem ones and all of its original second story windows have now been replaced with modem ones as well. -"USH 2 (Belknap St.)" WisDOT ID #8680-00-01 (71), Prepared by Timothy F.
