Additional Information:Used as a pedestrian bridge within the Van Loon Wildlife Area. 50 foot span. HAER WI-22-D. Seven bridges are located in the Van Loon Wildlife area, also known as the McGilvary Bottoms. These bridges were constructed to aid in spanning the maze of sloughs and channels in the bottom. Today, there are five steel bowstring arch truss bridges and a wooden Kingspost bridge on Old McGilvary Road. The McGilvary Road Truss Bridge Group was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. pony truss bridge
