Additional Information: | Two story storefront building clad in brick and covered in deteriorated scored stucco. Building retains its simple stepped cornice. 2009- "This commercial vernacular building was constructed c. 1900. The building has a flat roof with a parapet, and it is clad in brick, with a deteriorating stucco overlay on the front elevation, scored to imitate stonework. The building has a simple stepped cornice at the parapet. The first story has a centered door, and two small sliding windows with concrete sills. The first-floor windows and doors appear to be modern replacements. A large bricked-in-area occupies the area where storefront windows are typically located. Three windows are present in the second story. Two of these appear to be original 6/6 windows, and one is a modern replacement." -"Madison St, Rowell St to Curie St ", WisDOT 6080-00-01, Prepared by Justin Miller and Jennifer R. Harvey (2009). 2023: Resurveyed, building has replacement windows. |
