It is irregular in plan with a coursed stone foundation, clapboard walls, and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces east and is asymmetrical in plan with a projecting front-gabled mass comprising the southern half of the elevation and a narrower, side-gabled mass comprising the northern portion. The ell between these two masses contains a small, hipped-roof entry porch with a gablet over the front steps. The gablet is ornamented with decorative woodwork while the remainder of the porch features turned wood supports, a spindlework frieze, and decorative brackets. A large picture window with leaded-glass transom is located at the first story of the front-gabled mass with a pair of 1-over-1 windows above at the second story. Decorative panels of fish-scale shingles are located below the first and second story windows. A band of decorative woodworking spans the front-gabled mass above the second-story. Above this, the wall inside the gable is clad in decorative fish-scale shingles and the gable end features a decorative wood truss. The building also features an engaged tower with a conical roof and decorative spire along the south elevation and bands of decorative stickwork above the second-story windows of the north and south elevations. |
