Additional Information:STEPPED FALSEFRONT ON LONG NARROW FACTORY WITH ADDITIONS [Date Cnst:PRE] HAER INVENTORY (06/1979): Sold to Herman Wordell in 1910, this cheese factory was started by August Natzke. In 1915 Herman Schroeder purchased the place for his son Elmer, who, in 1916 became the owner. Elmer Schroeder operated the cheese factory for about 25 years before selling it to Art Johns in 1940. After purchasing the factory, Johns began construction of a new building. The building is presently being used as an apiary. It measures 60' x 120' and is built of brick with a boom town facade and a flat roof.
