Additional Information: | The building is a one-story side gable Rustic Style log house reputed to have been constructed in the 1920s. A small gable peak on the front roof slope highlights the front entrance. The original foundation materials have been covered with concrete parging. The majority of the exterior walls are rounded logs terminating in vertical wood posts, thus precluding the need for notching at the corners. A small shed-rooded addition is located on the south elevation of the house. Fenestration is limited to small windows, either double-hung with one-over-one sashes or horizontal sliders. All are modern replacements. A later addition is attached to the west elevation and unlike the main house has a variety of log sizes. The property also includes a modern two-car garage and a modern log sauna. |
