Additional Information: | Another map code for this building is DO 1/31, found on the DOT Watertown map. This one and one half story side gabled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a brick foundation, a cream brick exterior, a wood and brick trim and a shingled gable roof. The wooden window and door heads are triangular, pedimented and project forward. The frieze windows in the upper story also have projecting wooden heads, but these heads are flat arched, and a gable window, like the first story windows, has a peaked and moulded wooden lintel. An open designed front porch has its roof supported by wrought iron posts; these posts replaced earlier wooden Doric columns. At the east elevation is a shed roofed addition with a false front. Moulded eaves, frieze boards, a brick chimney and two entrances are other architectural elements. The residence is in good condition. |
