This two story front gabled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a high brick foundation, a cream brick exterior, a brick and wood trim and a shingled gable roof. Rectangular windows are accented with brick lintels and projecting sills. An entrance door was added on to the south elevation.

Originally built as a private school, it became a residence sometime in the late 1860s. It was the home of Albert Freitag from c. 1919 to at least 1934. (See Bib. Ref. A).
