Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Winneboujou Club Complex" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. THIS IS A ONE-STORY-TALL, SIDE GABLED, RECTILINEAR PLAN, CLAPBOARD-CLAD BUILDING THAT WAS BUILT BETWEEN 1886 AND 1888 AS THE WINNEBOUJOU CLUB'S FIRST BUILDING. THE KITCHEN WING HAS NOW BEEN DEMOLISHED AND SO HAS THE ORIGINAL WRAP AROUND VERANDA THAT ENCIRCLED ITS SOUTH AND WEST ELEVATIONS. OTHERWISE, BOTH THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR ARE STILL HIGHLY INTACT AND THE CLUBHOUSE IS STILL IN USE AS SUCH TODAY. |
