Additional Information: | Previously surveyed in 1974: PARAPET W/ PEDIMENTED DATE PLAQUE, BRICK PILASTERS, MOULDED METAL EAVES, STILTED BRICK SEGMENTAL ARCH LINTELS W/ KEYSTONES TOP FLR NEARLY IDENTICAL TO ADJACENT BLDG R#15176 [Date Cnst:(CORNICE)] 2002 - This two-story building is composed of two storefronts and a matching addition erected in 1906 (305, 307, 309). The storefronts have been altered but the pressed metal cornice is still in place. The original display window openings and kickplates also appear largely intact. Regularly distributed, 2/2 windows with stone sills and segmental-arched, brick hood moldings appear at the second story. The block features brick corbelling, and a cornice with a triangular pediment that displays the date "1877". The name "C. Herker" is centered in the cornice at 307. |
