"This location on Cranberry Lake, was the site of the home's original 1920's boathouse, which was lost in a fire. This half-log sided boathouse was built around 1937 to replace the original structure. It was used as a meeting place for residents of the Everett Colony. Meetings, parties and dance were held here. It's one of the only remaining half-log sided boathouses on the chain. Many others have been re-sided during renovation throughout the years." Boathouses of Vilas County Eagle River, not dated. |
