Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Ralph and Virginia Rudsinski Farm" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2011 - "This farmstead is composed of a farmhouse and seven outbuildings. The farmhouse is a two-story, frame, Gable-Ell building finished with stucco. Asphalt shingles cover the roofs. The foundation has been stuccoed over. The house appears to have been constructed in two sections: the original, front-gabled, west section, which may date from ca. 1856; and the taller, side-gabled, east section, which appears to have been added ca. 1920. At the time of the addition, 4/1 sash windows were installed in all the openings, the exterior was finished with stucco, and a hipped-roof, closed rail porch was tucked in the ell on the front (south-facing) facade. Four barns and three sheds stand north of (behind) the farmhouse. The main barn appears to date from ca. 1920. It is front-gabled, and finished with vertical boards. All the other outbuildings appear to date from ca. 1880 to ca. 1950. The original section of the farmhouse was probably built for Jacob Barnhart ca. 1856. Barnhart owned the property until at least 1873. D. D. Church was the owner from at least 1891 until at least 1907. By 1930, H. Lackey had acquired the property. From at least 1947 until at least 1956, the farmstead belonged to Neil Crowe." |
