Wrap-around porch, back porch, and second floor balcony were enclosed in 1930. A rear entrance stairway was added in 1931.

Built by John Gilbert Rosholt (1850-1929) in 1905, the house remained with the family up to at least 2008. The current owner, Glen Rosholt Lockery (1918-2011) is J.G.'s grandson.

John Gilbert Rosholt was a lumberman and banker who founded the village of Rosholt. In 1904, Rosholt founded the State Bank of Rosholt and served as president until his death in 1929. The State Bank of Rosholt is still owned and operated by the Rosholt family as of at least 2008, which now has several branches in surrounding communties.
