Additional Information: | SHED-ROOFED 1950'S ERA CONTEMPORARY STYLE HOUSE WITH ORIGINAL WIDE CLAPBOARD WOOD SIDING. SHUTTERS FLANKING WINDOWS ON THE MAIN FACADE ARE PROBABLY A LATER ADDITION. 2008- "This small, still largely intact, one-story-tall square-plan Contemporary Style single family residence has a principal facade that faces south onto E. Main St. and it has a concrete foundation, exterior walls that are clad in wide wooden clapboards, a principal fagade that faces south onto E. Main St., and it is sheltered by a shed roof whose surface slopes downward from front to back (north to south). The asymmetrically designed main fagade is divided into two unequal sections by a full height wood screen and the smaller left-hand (west) section contains the house's living room, while the wider right-hand section contains its bedrooms. In addition to the house itself, a shed-roofed one-car garage is also located to the right of and slightly below the house. This garage is attached to the house and it features the same design and materials and it was clearly built at the same time." -"Waunakee 7.5 Quad", WisDOT#5290-01-02, Prepared by Timothy F. Heggland, (2008). 2021 - Appearance unchanged |
