Additional Information: | This barn features a fieldstone foundation and is clad with vertical board. The gambrel roof is covered with metal and features a metal cupola at each end. A poured-concrete silo is adjacent to the barn. Other buildings on the property include a metal-covered machine shed, a metal-clad pole building, one board-covered garage, and a vinyl-sided garage. Built in 1908 by Danish farmer Andrew Frederickson. For many years, the barn was the largest of its kind in Winnebago County. The property remained with the Frederickson family until the 1990s. The current owner (2003) indicated that the barn will be razed soon due to its dilapidated condition. Online research in 2018 found that this building is no longer extant. |
