Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property under the name "Guernsey Barn." It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. A PREVIOUS SURVEY PHOTO TAKEN IN 1981 SHOWS THAT THE LARGEST PORTION OF THIS GAMBREL-ROOFED VINYL-CLAD BARN IS ACTUALLY AN ORIGINAL WING OF THE MUCH LARGER ATTACHED GUERNSEY BARN, WHICH WAS BUILT IN 1916 AS PART OF VICTOR LAWSON'S LONE TREE FARM ESTATE. THE SMALLER GAMBREL-ROOFED WING THAT IS ATTACHED TO THS WING WAS BUILT AFTER 1981. |
