Additional Information: | A 'site file' (Mahr's Hillside Farm and Orchard) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 2007- The Hillside Farm Orchard complex consists of a house and several buildings ranging in date from c.1910 to c.1930. An orchard of apple trees is also included in the property. To the southeast of the house is a c.1920 frame barn. The rectangular plan building rests on a concrete foundation and has a gambrel roof covered in asphalt shingles. The walls are covered in vertical wood siding, and there are large sliding panel doors on the north elevation. The windows are double hung, six-over-six sash. "Hillside Farm 1910" is painted on the west facade, and "Hillside Barn" is painted above the sliding panel doors on the north elevation. DOE signed 4/12/2011 Online research (MAP) in 2019 found that this farmhouse and all its associated outbuildings were demolished between 2011 and 2014. |
