Additional Information: | A 'site file' (Mahr's Hillside Farm and Orchard) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 2007- The Hillside Farm Orchard complex consists of a house and several buildings ranging in date from c.1910 to c.1930. An orchard of apple trees is also included in the property. The one and one-half story, cross gable, c.1910 frame house is sheathed in aluminum siding and has an interior brick chimney. The windows are double hung, one-over-one sash, and grouped in bands of two or three. Some of the windows are replacements, and there is an enclosed porch. The roof is covered in asphalt shingles. Directly behind the house is a modern, front gable garage with a rectangular plan. Online research (MAP) in 2019 found that this farmhouse and all its associated outbuildings were demolished between 2011 and 2014. |
