NOTES
Additional Information:Another map code for this building is WT 20/5, found on the DOT West Bend map.

This two story Greek Revival styled house features an irregular shaped plan configuration, a brick exterior, a brick and wood trim and an asphalt shingled multi-gabled roof. Dentil trim is rendered in brick and distinguishes the cornice line, as well as a brick belt course and brick eave returns. Visible at one elevation is a full triangular pediment accented by a one-half round window. The front porch is partially enclosed, with the exposed roof edges supported by squared posts. The enclosed portion of the porch has an entrance detailed with sidelights. Many of the windows throughout the dwelling have one-over-one panes with carved lintels and projecting sills. The residence is in fair condition.

Carl Mayer was a German immigrant who became a local brewer. Pick was co-operator of the West Bend Brewing Company.

"Andrew Pick, whose father-in-law Carl Mayer built this house in 1859, was the most prominent occupant of this house. Pick along with his brother-in-law Stephen F. Mayer, who later lived just west on Beech, ran the West Bend Brewery Company. He also held a number of local offices, including that of Mayor. Pick occupied the residence after his marriage with Emma Mayer in 1875. The original brick Greek Revival house has had a number of additions."
