Additional Information: | "This house was built in the 1850s. In 1872, Christen Carlson and his wife Nelly Pederson moved here from Sweden. He was a plasterer and wallpaperer. Later, he was a janitor at the Eastside School. The house has had alterations in 1870-80s (a kitchen), 1950s (an enclosed porch), and in the 1970s. This area was known as Reaperville since most of the houses were owned by Esterly Reaperworks employees." Touring Historical Whitewater, n.d. |
