Additional Information: | A FLAT-ROOFED ONE-STORY COMMERCIAL VERNACULAR FORM BLDG IS ATTACHED TO THE WEST-FACING SIDE ELEVATION OF AN EARLIER TWO-STORY-TALL FRONT GABLE FORM CREAM BRICK-CLAD HOUSE. MOULDED WOODEN CORNICE ON COMMERCIAL BLDG, SEGMENTAL ARCH WINDOWS ON THE HOUSE'S SECOND STORY. Sanborn maps show that these buildings were already connected as early as 1894, in which year the commercial portion housed a meat market. The house was built c.1870 and that commercial building, c.1885. |
