Additional Information: | "The Twi-Lite Motel is comprised of two distinct parts. It is today a "wide U" shaped complex, although the original component was an "L" structure. The length of the original "L" parallels USH 12, while the ell is at the west end and projects towards the roadway. It is a simple, single-story building with a low-pitched gabled roof... The roadside sign in a classic, yet simple, 1960s era, neon apparatus that attracts the attention of passing motorists... The original part of this motel is thought to date to the mid-1960s...it is assumed that the two-story addition was perhaps erected in the 1970s." Heritage Research, Ltd., 2007 |
