NOTES
Additional Information:2007 - The building once served as a church, school, and convent for St. James Parish. The building was originally located at the grounds of the Milwaukee County Airport (Mitchell International Airport) where, during World War II, it functioned as the administrative building for the Interment Camp for German prisoners-of-war. In 1949, the parish purchased the building for $1,192, cut it into ten sections and reassembled it at the present site. Modifications were made at that time to transform the secular administration building into a church, living quarters, and school. The modifications were extensive and consequently the building's original architectural integrity was severely compromised. Presently the building houses the administrative offices of the parish, parish meeting rooms, a day care, and outreach facilities.
