NOTES
Additional Information:Owner Peter Trimborn. In 1932, upper two floors held 10 apartments, while the lower level held John Wangard drugs and Albert Miner Barber. In 1932, address was 7527-7531 W. National Avenue.

2015- "This three-story, Art Deco-influenced commercial building consists of a first floor that is sheathed with both Nu-Stone, as well as a stucco-like veneer (applied in 1976). Two storefronts (each with a single pane of plate glass and an adjacent door) are located along W. National Avenue, as well as a doorway to the upper-level apartments, while an additional (and later) storefront is located along S. 76th Street. A pent overhang (added in 1976) runs above the first floor and directly beneath the second-floor fenestration. Above the first floor, the entrance elevation is divided by four brick pilasters, resulting in five bays, each including a single, double-hung window along each floor. Between the second and third floor windows are three decorative and incised stone panels, while the outer bays include a rectangular stone square. Both of the upper two levels of the east and west elevations carry regularly placed, one-over-light sash that are arranged singly, in pairs and in tripartite groupings.

Designed by the architectural firm of Lindl & Schutte and built in 1931 by Peter Trimborn, this three-story building--known as the LaVerne Apartments--originally included two stores on the first level, while the upper two floors included ten apartments. The estimated cost of the building was noted as $21,000. As of 1932, the first-floor tenants were John Wangard Drugs and barber Albert Miner. A drug store (later owned by John Gander) and a barber shop (later owned by Simon Schwarz) remained in the building until at least 1950. As of 1981, the building was still owned by Peter Trimborn."
