Additional Information: | THIS HIGHLY INTACT BOOMTOWN STYLE BUILDING IS BUILT ENTIRELY OUT OF ROCK-FACED CONCRETE BLOCK. MANY OF THE BUILDING'S ORIGINAL TWO-OVER-TWO-LIGHT DOUBLE HUNG WOOD SASH WINDOWS ARE STILL INTACT AND THE BUILDING APPEARS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL USE OF THE BUILDING IS NOT KNOWN. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THIS BUILDING MAY BE THE ONE THAT IS LABELED AS BEING A BLACKSMITH SHOP ON THE 1938 WISCONSIN LAND INVENTORY SHEET FOR THIS SECTION BUT THIS LABEL MAY ALSO HAVE APPLIED TO A NOW DEMOLISHED BUILDING THAT MAY ONCE HAVE OCCUPIED THE CORNER LOT ADJACENT TO IT ON THE WEST. THE BUILDING'S CURRENT USE IS UNKNOWN. |
