| Additional Information: | This deck girder bridge carries the railroad tracks over Washington Road in the City of Kenosha, and employs a simple post-and-beam structural form. Rolled "I" beams extend between two concrete abutments and are supported in the middle by a pier with "I" beam uprights and an "I" beam top chord. This structure was built in 1930 by the American Bridge Company. The bridge postdates the railroad's arrival in Kenosha by approximately 75 years. steel beam or plate girder bridge |
