Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. 2011- Appearance unchanged. Reconstructed ca. 2002. 2000- Concrete rigid-frame bridge with segmental arch opening and random limestone ashlar veneer. Prominent arch ring. Bridge spans approximately 50 ft. and has overall length of 130 ft. and width of 76 ft. Its limestone railing is approx. 3.5 ft. highand 2.5 ft. wide and has limestone slab coping. A concrete nameplate at either end of the bridge is incised with "W.P.A. 1936." Although some of the stone facing has deteriorated, the bridge retains overall integrity of design and materials. Bridge No. B-40-0703 is the bypass channel located on the south side of Bridge No. P-40-0823. |
