NOTES
Additional Information:THIS IS THE SECOND DUTCH COLONIAL REVIVAL STYLE-INFLUENCED QUEEN ANNE STYLE HOUSE IN THIS DISTRICT, THE FIRST BEING THE R. CONNOR, JR. HOUSE AT 709 W. 5TH ST. THIS EXAMPLE RETAINS A HIGHER DEGREE OF INTEGRITY.

2005-
Similarities with 807 W. Fifth suggest the two houses share a common buildder r designer, or both.

Cruciform plan, 2 stories, cut-stone foundation. Exterior walls are clad in clapboard and gable ends are clad in fishscale-shped wood shingles. Main roof is gambrel.

East elevation is bisected by a 2-story polygonal bay capped by a pavilion shaped roof of the same type found on 807 W. Fifth St.

Wraparound veranda spans full width of south-facing facade and a portion of the east elevation.

Original owner has not been determined, but it is believed to hae been built in 1904. From 1915 to 1921 (and possibly later) the house was occupied by Herman E. and Minnie Bauer. Herman Bauer was was a partner in the firm of Bauer & Eiche who dealt in real estate. In 1939 a dentist, Dr. G.E. and Harriet Harrington owned the house.
