Additional Information: | This exceptionally long barn has two gabled ruway entrances. The structure has been widened with additions extending the eves on the side with the entrances. Both of these features are distinctive characteristics of vernacular barns in the area. A large vernacular dairy barn is located over 1/4 mile from the project but is clearly visible from it. This exceptionally long barn has been widened with additions extending the eves on the front of the barn. The barn also has two gabled runway entrances. Both of these features are distinctive characteristics of vernacular barns in the area. This barn does not appear significant as better examples of the type can be found in the southern part of Kewaunee County, such as those along Rustic Road R-7. There is a double gable entrance barn at E2216 Krok Road and a very imposing barn at the intersection of Sleepy Hollow and Pine Grove Roads. |
