NOTES
Additional Information:Sanborn maps suggest this structure was built by no later than 1898; however the storefront was likely altered circa 1920. The earliest known function (1898) was a restaurant and confectionery, but by 1911, it is noted as a grocery store. According to Sanborns, the storefront was originally comprised of two projecting bay windows with a central entrance.

October 2005-This one-story commercial building is topped with a gabled roof that is obscured by a Boomtown front. While the side walls appear to be sheathed with vinyl, the primary (east) façade is constructed of brick and includes a pair of storefront windows and a doorway, as well as a decorative in the parapet. The cloth overhang identifies the structure as the Yankee Clipper, a hair salon.

Sanborn maps suggest that this structure may have been built no later than 1898. However, the current storefront appears to be a circa 1920s alteration, as the Sanborn map indicates that the 1919 storefront included a pair of projecting windows with a central entrance. The earliest function of this building (in 1898) was as a restaurant and confectionary. By no later than 1911, the building housed a grocery store, which remained here until at least 1919. No further information could be found regarding later owners and/or tenants.
