Additional Information: | Plat books for Trempealeau Co. dated from 1878-1924 all show B. A. Severson as the owner of this land. This house probably replaces an earlier house on the same site. 2-story, hip-roofed American Foursquare. square plan. foundation and exterior walls made of hollow building tiles. Facade faces east onto US Hwy 53. 2005 - house is in highly intact condition, although present 2-story porch is likely a modern replacement for a full length porch originally built on the house. Marks on the facade support this conjecture. While the house is intact and the materials are unusual, its design is not. House is currently vacant. Farm outbuildings originally associated with the house are no longer extant. 2024- Farmstead: Two story American Foursquare, brick veneer, a pyramidal asphalt shingle roof, a brick foundation, wood one-over-one windows, and front addition. Outbuildings: A metal pole barn, a wood pig shed, a small wood shed, and stables. |
