Additional Information:SEGMENTAL ARCH WINDOWS AND DOOR IN SEGMENTAL ARCH RECESSES. DOOR W/MULTIPANED TRANSOM AND SIDELIGHTS. CORBELLED BELTCOURSE. STONE SILLS. REC said NE on 12/11/2002. 2023: The Verhaalen Family Property is a two-story front-gable house constructed in 1866. It is of brick masonry construction with a rectangular plan on a stone foundation. The front-gable roof is covered in asphalt shingles. The house features brick dentils and coursework, along with decorative brick trims and segmental arches adorning the fenestration. Windows are regularly placed, replacement, one-over-one, double-hung sash with stone sills. The entryway is offset with a modern metal door and asymmetrical sidelight, and a replacement brick and concrete stoop with a wrought iron railing. A large, c.1960, one-story, storefront addition extends off the side (northeast) elevation. It is clad in replacement board and batten wood siding. Large metal storefront windows span the front (northwest) facade, separated by a metal and glass entryway door with matching sidelights and fanlight. A modern sign reading “Great Lakes Family Vision” hangs above the door.
