Additional Information: | 6 outbuildings including c.1930 gothic arch barn, concrete stave silo, c.1900 bank barn, gambrel-roof garage, modern pole building. The two-and-one-half-story house has a rectangular plan, brick wall material, and clipped gables. The roof is covered with asphalt shingles. There is an assortment of windows, including casement, fixed-frame picture windows, and a bay window on the south elevation. A half-hipped addition is attached to the south half of the facade while a front (clipped)-gabled enclosed porch protrudes from the north half of the facade. The southernmost outbuilding is a c. 1920 frame barn with gothic arched roof covered with ashpalt shingles, four-pane and glass block windows, and wood and concrete wall materials. A c. 1920 concrete stave silo with metal cap stand directly north of the barn. Flanking the silo on the north is a large raised bank barn, built c. 1910, with metal-clad gabled roof, glass bock windows, and wood wall cladding. A gambrel roof barn appears to be attached to the rear elevation of this barn. A historic two-bay, brick garage with clipped gables built c. 1930 stands adjacent to the northeast corner of the house. East of the garage is a modern pole building. The driveway to this property is flanked with two stone ballards; there is also a cistern in the southwest corner of the property. |
