Additional Information: | This house is comprised of a two story main block and a one and one half story wing to the south. A flat roof porch shelters the ell juncture of the home; a single door and sash window are located along the first level, while a gabled wall dormer along the upper half story carries a pair of sashes. Shinglework trim is located within the gabled peak of the wall dormer, a swell as within the peak of the two story, front facing main block. Regarding the main block, a pair of sash windows line each level along the primary (west) facade; the lower examples of which are topped with a raised, wooden windowhood. Windows throughout the remainder of the home are sash examples and are generally single arranged. A portion of this house was located on this parcel by no later than 1868 and was built by farmer Henry Sutherland. In 1882, the house was purchased by Charles B. Wolcott and the valuation nearly doubled between 1887 and 1893--thus likely signifying an addition/improvements. |
