Additional Information: | City directories indicate that this house was built in either 1913 or 1914. Carpenter-contrator B. Clyde Brown is listed as the original owner. During the next decade, the residence was occupied by George W. Helmer, secretary of the Federal Bridge and Structural Company, and later, David M. Hunter, assistant manager of the Palmetier and Abell Lumber Company. By 1925 Bloomfield J. and Ann Lichtie owner the house. Directories alternately list Bloomfield's occupations as woodworker, farmer, and shipper with the Quality Aluminum Casting Company. Beginning in the 1950s, Dr. Walter J. and Alice F. Clothier occupied the house. |
