Additional Information: | Park is named for George Haberman who donated the the land to the village. He was a member of the village board and the city's Civic Improvement Commission. He offered his land for public use by 1930, however, ownership of the park did not transfer to the city until the 1960s. The stone-lining of Spring Creek was started with funds from the Civil Works Administration and finished with assistance from the Works Progress Administration. |
