Additional Information: | Kraemer was a contractor. The garage was lengthened in 1953. 2021 - The 1938 Colonial Revival-style Ed Kraemer House is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Wachter Avenue (STH 23) and Willow Street and faces east toward Wachter Avenue. The two-story, stone house has a hipped, asphalt shingle roof with overhanging bracketed eaves. A single-story wing with a hipped roof is located on the north end of the house. The primary (east-facing) façade is symmetrical with a prominent center entrance porch flanked by two pairs of three-over one sash windows with stone lintels. The second story has a central pair of two-over-one sash windows and two single four-over-one sash windows, all accentuated by wrought iron railings. The prominent entrance porch has a gable roof with dentil details under the eave and a curved underside. Two large stone pillars support the pediment. A large stone chimney is located on the south elevation. |
