Additional Information:CUT STONE SEGMENTAL ARCH LINTELS W/KEYSTONES ROUND ARCH CLASSICAL DOORWAY W/ 1/2 ROUND FANLIGHT AND DORIC COLUMNS STONE SILLS ENCLOSED PORCH IN ELL Features include: dressed segmental arches with keystones, segmentally arched trim on door with classical columns added ca 1920, porch in front of one-story wing also with columns. Built in 1867 for Charles and Emelie Mielke. Mielke was born ca 1830 in Prussia and Emelie was born ca 1825 in Prussia. Mielke was a laborer. They had a son named Charles who was born in Prussia in 1859. He married Emma ca 1882. Emma was born in Wisconisn in 1857. By 1900 Charles, Sr. was a widower. Son Charles worked in the planning mill. The elder Mielke probably died between 1900 and 1910 and the younger Mielke was dead by 1935.
