Additional Information: FRAME SIDE ADDITIONS STONE SILLS AND SEGMENTAL ARCH LINTELS W/KEYSTONES TRANSOM OVER DOOR 1/2 ROUND WINDOW IN GABLE Frederick Gruhl and his wife Christine probably built this house. Fred was born in Prussia ca 1823. Christina was born in Germany ca 1840 and came to the U.S. in 1852, one year after Fred. Fred was a carpenter. Together they had 10 children, four of whom lived to adulthood. Son Fred worked in a planing mill for a while (ca 1880). The senior Gruhls were still living here in 1910.
