Fred was born in Prussia ca 1823. Christina was born in Germany ca 1840 and came to the U.S. in 1852, one year after Fred. Fred was a carpenter. Together they had 10 children, four of whom lived to adulthood. Son Fred worked in a planing mill for a while (ca 1880). The senior Gruhls were still living here in 1910. |
