Additional Information: | PAIRED BRACKETS AT EAVESSTONE SILLS 2015- "This 2-story Italianate cube house was constructed circa 1885. It is irregular in plan with fieldstone walls, smoothed stone quoins, and an asphalt-shingled, hipped roof. The front elevation faces north and is symmetrical in plan. The north facade has a central entrance shaded by a flat roofed portico supported on unfluted Corinthian, cast iron columns and two segmental arch windows evenly spaced on either side of the entrance. At the second level of the north facade, there are three evenly spaced segmental arched windows. Along the east facade, there are two segmental arched windows evenly spaced at the first and second levels. All the arches are comprised of limestone voussoirs and stone lintels and have been filled in with standardized 1-over-1 windows. Pairs of brackets are evenly spaced in the eaves-three along the east elevation and four along the north elevation. Two chimneys rise from either side of the ridge of the hipped roof. There is a gabled addition to the rear of the house." - "Eagle Drive to STH 181 Survey," WisDOT ID #2310-14-00, Prepared by Megan Daniels and Justin Miller - UWM CRM (2015). |
