NOTES
Additional Information:Resting on what appears to be a stone foundation, this two-story bungalow is also covered with stucco and side-gabled in form like its neighbor to the south at 414 N. Main Street. An enclosed, one-story porch is located at the northwest corner of the primary (west) facade and features a simple, shaped parapet. The remaining first-floor fenestration of the west elevation consists of a band of four, six-over-one-light sashes. Another series of four windows line the upper level, within a shed-roof, wall dormer. Similar, multiple-light sashes are located throughout the remainder of the house; another bank of four windows are situated within a shed-roof, square bay window to the south. A brick exterior chimney rises along the south elevation, west of the square window bay. Simple wooden bargeboards outline the roof to the north and south, while purlins and exposed rafter tails are seen within the overhanging eave to the south and east, respectively.

This house was built as employee housing by the Northwestern Iron Company. This home was also featured in the Steel & Tube Company's publication and it was noted as the home of J.J. Gray, the Chief Electrician at the iron works. The first private owner following the company ownership were sisters Elizabeth & Clara Schilling. They remained in the home into the mid-1950s.
