Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. The front section of this building is the old granary. It sits on a fieldstone foundation. At the rear is a large one-story machine shed addition with no foundation. This building constributes to the signifcance of the Kohl Farmstead because they represent the growth and development of agriculture on this from the early years when grain storage buildings were necessary to the early twentieth century when increased mechanization and equipment meant a need for additional storage buildings. |
