Additional Information: | 2017- "The home located at N 1314 USH 12 is set in a rural surrounding and sits relatively close to USH 12 facing the highway. A graveled drive way entrance is located along the south side of the home and traverses to the back of the parcel. The parcel is mostly open with no planned landscape. There are some large, mature trees scattered in the yard and overgrown scrub brush along the driveway. There are six outbuildings associated with the historic use of the property: a concrete stave silo, ca. 1940's, sits at the north end of the large bank barn at the rear of the parcel. The barn, ca. 1920's-1950's, has a gambrel roof, with shingle cladding and wide red painted, wood planked walls. There is a small milk house attached to the front facade of the barn. To the south of the barn, and difficult to view from the right of way, are two additional outbuildings. The first building has a gabled roof with asphalt shingles and a shed dormer. The second building is a single story, with a side gabled, asphalt shingled roof. Both have wide plank board siding and are painted red like the larger barn. A smaller shed on the north end of the parcel, set back behind the house is a white, side gabled, single story building with asphalt shingles and wood, plank walls. A row of windows lines the front of the building and a single entryway is located in the west side of the building facing the road. All of these outbuildings retain some integrity but are in very bad condition. This two-story, frame Gable Ell farmhouse is T-shaped in plan and was built ca. 1870. The house is set on a stone rubble foundation and has been clad with composition siding. The roof is surfaced with asphalt shingles. A hip-roofed porch with closed rails and concrete posts extends across the front fa!;ade, and appears to date to the early twentieth century. The front facade is symmetrical about the central entrance. Regularly distributed Ill replacement windows in reduced openings light the house. The wing attaches to the rear. An enclosed, flat-roofed porch is tucked into the cell. Frieze windows are found in both sections." -"USH 12: CTH M to Buckingham Rd", WisDOT#3575-03-01, Prepared by CORRE, Inc.
