It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. DRAGER'S IS STONE W/BRICK FACADE. CORBELLED CORNICE. ALTERED 1ST FLR. "Two fire in March of 1890 ravaged this block, destroying the frame predecessor of the Vogel Building, severely damaging the frame addition to the Peters building which served as Mrs. Peters' dwelling, and gutting a frame saloon on this property owned by Joseph Hausmann. Hausmann immediately rebuilt, providing his new saloon with a facade of brick and stone with features that give it an aspect more massive than other Mazomanie retail building. Many features of this facade are still visible today, such as the rock-faced cut-stone sills and the massive flat-arched brick lintels which embellish the upper windows. The side and rear wall are rough, coursed stone. Besides its use as a saloon, it has served various retail businesses and most recently has been used as a restaurant."
