Additional Information: | Two structures are physically connected and counted as one building. The chicken coop is a one-story, stone, side-gabled building. The roofline extends slightly at the entrance to form a sheltered entrance canopy. The stone work is random ashlar with large slabs of edge-bedded stone randomly placed for accent. The building is lit by 6-light casements and a large, multi-paned window group. It is topped by a louvered rooftop cupola vent. The greenhouse is a prefabricated gambrel-shaped metal frame with glass panels that sits on a low wall of random ashlar stone. A door leads from the chicken coop directly to the greenhouse. A second door leads from the greenhouse to what was formerly a cut flower garden edged with fieldstone retaining walls. |
