Additional Information: | July-August 2001-This two-story, side gabled painted brick house is characterized by a shingled gable roof, cornice returns in the gable ends and segmental arched windows with one over one lights. Straight arched half-windows with one over one lights on the upper story further chracterize the front elevation. An enclosed wooden porch with a shed roof extends across the front of the house and a one-story gable roofed, frame addition is attached to the rear of the house. This fairly well preserved vernacular brick side gabled house does not meet the criteria for the National Register for architectural significance (Criterion C) because it is not a significant example of its style or an example of a type of construction. |
