Additional Information: | July 2002-This single story, circa 1960 motel consists of an office block from which extends a pair of motel room wings in a slight V shape. The lower half of the building is sheathed with a Lannon stone veneer while the upper half is covered with aluminum. The main (south) façade of the office block is fitted with a gabled, ground level, open porch addition supported by square posts and decorated with a square-post balustrade. Fenestration consists of modern, metal doors and one over one, double hung sashes. Positioned to the right (east) of the original motel is a circa 1980s, single story, motel building also sheathed in aluminum. Located behind (north) of the motel complex is a circa 1980s, Ranch-style aluminum-clad home. The final structure on the property is a modern, eight sided open gazebo located in the front of the property. A review of telephone directories and a historic map indicates that the structure at this location was built between 1957 and 1962 and was known as the Alpine Motel. By 1970, the name had been changed to Spring Green Motel, which is its present name. 2022- There have been many modern additions to this property, including a second motel building in the 1980s, two more motel buildings about a decade ago, and numerous outdoor amenities (a basketball court, playground, gazebo, seating areas, and extensive landscaping). |
